"Hopes & Dreams" was one of my summer experiments



2012 for my development of my final MA project.



The meaning of these two words become a totally



different one once the are lid up with fire. It represents



the passion, the ecstasy, the excitement within these 2



signifiers. Burning is always a strong act with lots of



good or anxious emotions involved. It is almost the



fascination about the control or even more the



uncontrolled impact fire can cause.





Even the ashes after blowing out the fire can create an

​



ambiguous meaning which can stand for sadness or





(broken) not fulfilled hopes and dreams.
