富士山

Sounds like a mountain, but it's actually an active volcano. Located on Honshu Island, its the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776.24 m (12,389 ft). Mount Fuji is an active stratovolcano that last erupted in 1707–1708. This beauty lies about 100 kilometres (60 mi) south-west of Tokyo , and can be seen from there on a clear day. Mount Fuji's exceptionally symmetrical cone, which is snow-capped for about 5 months a year, is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photographs, as well as visited by sightseers and climbers.

One of Sunrise-tours most wonderful day-trips from Tokyo is def mount fuji. During the bus-ride we enjoyed a bit of Japan's history and learning a basic japanese words and numbers to keep us entertained and spent time well. However we had 3 stops in total where everyone can get off the bus and get some free time to walk around the area around Mount Fuji. The 2nd stop was four our lunch break, having delicious Bento box dishes. On our last stop we reached Lake Kawakuchi in order to take the cable car to get up Mount Mitutouge.
